"Car dealers are in a class by themselves when it comes to bad customer service. ...But Toyota has stood behind their product."
Tesla also stands out when it comes to customer service. From essentially warranting the traction battery pack against any failure, picking up towing costs if the car breaks down, offering free loaners and ranger service at home, and diagnosing problems proactively and updating software remotely. They get that it not only takes a great vechicle to make a great EV. It takes a manufacturer with a culture of backing up their product. One of the reasons they can do this is because they are not beholden to a network of middlemen. Also, the fact that they have a very reliable EV helps big time! And when issues have come up (12 volt battery failures, retrofitting battery pack protection, upgrading and replacing charging adapters) they have been quick to find and implement solutions at no costs. <off soapbox> Barry Oppenheim Saturn Vue EV (5+ years, 35K miles and going strong) _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
