As the AAA pointed out the three vehicles tested did not have full range in extreme heat or cold. that is why some premium designs use a heat pump / air conditioner to heat the battery in cold weather and cool the battery pack in hot weather. Many automotive design engineers and oblivious to the need of maintaining the battery at moderate temperature levels, and I recall the original release of this AAA test last winter but little was said about it, in automobile design circles, preferring to use as a "Put-Down" of EV technology, in general. We should note whether the pack is maintained at temperatures, in the "human comfort zone," by specific design features, or not, and include that in our critique, of each new EV model.
