I posted this pih-ice news piece for several reasons:

-Similar reasons to what Dennis stated, that this ice would/could be used in
a pih.

-Since we recently had a lively fcv debate (that thankfully it did not get
nasty), which seemed to draw out many evdl members to comment, I thought
this topic would also be of interest. Since IMO, a fcv is nothing more than
a old-school hybrid (hev) that burns/consumes fossil ch4 (it can't plug-in
to use renewable-energy made electricity either from the grid or otherwise,
can not recharge at home, etc. like an EV can), discussing a different type
of apu or genset might be of interest (someone might want to put one on a
pusher/trailer, etc.).

-If you look at the images, I thought its design would intrigue the techies
on the evdl. It looks like an interesting chemical-fuel to electric
generator. Also, its small size/capacity lends itself to a charge-depleted
hybrid system (small ice> saves weight for a larger pack, thus a more
efficient/beneficial hybrid design)

-And lastly, it is the quieter weekends (has less discussions) where I try
to add some diversity into the mix (to keep it interesting). That usually is
to post EV related items like where the electrical energy is coming from
(i.e.: solar, wind, etc.), EV competition items, or as in this case,
plug-in-hybrid related items.

The sieving of all the newswires I read everyday, continues to show me that
the status of the EV market is a dynamic, moving target (it is an ever
changing beast).

*If evdl members believe any of my EVLN newswire posts have crossed a evdl
netiquette or charter line, I ask that I be told-so (I look forward to your
views, yay or nay on what you want to read).

After all, making all this effort and spending all this time (while I am
still able) on these EVLN posts, should be wanted by the evdl members (I
will tailor/select what news items I post to suit those desires). If evdl
members dislike receiving a particular topic in their intray, I could just
post them directly to an evdl archive so they would not receive them (an
option if evdl members so desire).

As I have said in the past, I am grateful the evdl members have allowed me
to post these newswire (EVLN) items, so that I can chronicle the plugin
development timeline on the evdl archives.
