Use Electrical Orange tape rated for the voltage you are going to do. Do a professional installation by half wrapping the tape which means overlapping the tape on to it self half way. This allow for a very smooth finish where the over lap butts against the tape ridge which is cause by the last overwrap.
In many wire and cable installation, this type of wrapping is specified. We may use the same color feeder wire and wrap only the expose part in a junction box or control panel.
