Is this a case of poetic justice, or is he just a really, really dumb robber? The main suspect, who bears the surname of Zhang, had committed three robberies in total - including stealing an electric bicycle as a gift for his girlfriend. He was caught at the elevator in his complex building after he returned home from praying in a temple for "good luck" (for not being caught). Zhao told the police that he worships Guan Gong and burns incense offerings to him every day in hopes of not getting caught. Zhao, along with his brother and the other suspect were detained in jail for having stolen dozens of electric cars and tricycles.
