Indeed. It is one of the common reasons for motorcycle accidents in
India, I have witnessed a lady riding pillion get her scarf caught on
the mirror of the car they were passing, causing her to be pulled off
the bike and the driver to fall with the bike immediately after. Had
nothing to do with the energy used to move either vehicles, had
everything to do with having inappropriate clothing for the occasion.
