[OT My status: I'm back-baby! After the electric-shock (cardioversion), the anesthesia Doctors said while semi-under, I was talking some gibberish about Electric Cars! (They would not discuss the other things they say I said ... ?joke?).
Similar to a bad-sunburn, I now have electric-burn rings the outline shape of the adhesive defibrillator pads they placed over my heart: one on my chest, and one on my back (I've slathered cortisone cream on the burns to let them heal, reducing my itching/scratching, so-I-can-sleep medicine). Blood pressure normal: under 120/80, heart rate normal: ~60 /OT] % I have been seeing lots of Porsche PR noise since Dec 2014 about a future Electric Porsche model, but I have seen too many times where Porsche releases PR for the visibility, with no real intent on producing what was touted (or it is media-outlet wishful-thinking). Or sometimes Porsche makes a couple of prototype models just for show, and then later cancels the project (see below). So, as far as an e-Porsche Production model, IMO I am not holding my breath, and will begin being seriously interested when Porsche actually makes them available to the public. Here are some newswires I found when searching on Porsche Pajun : http://www.worldcarfans.com/115012487807/porsche-reportedly-planning-electric-only-baby-panamera Porsche reportedly planning electric-only baby Panamera By Adrian Padeanu Jan 24, 2015 auto-motor-und-sport.de Due in 2018 or 2019 According to a report issued by Auto Motor und Sport, the Pajun (Panamera Junior) project is back in the cards. About a month ago, Porsche clearly specified they aren't cooking up a competitor for the Tesla Model S but nevertheless a report coming from Germany says the long-rumored smaller Panamera codenamed Pajun will be out to go head to head with the Model S. The model was initially programmed to come out with conventional turbocharged gasoline and diesel engines but apparently these have been axed as the Pajun will be commercialized only with a fully electric setup. The reason why Porsche has decided not to sell the Pajun with regular engines is because the segment is already too crowded so it would be wiser to commercialize the smaller Panamera only as an EV that will allegedly have a range between 350 and 400 km (217 and 248 miles) thanks to advancements in battery technology. The Pajun (will get a different name) is expected to be 4.6 meters (181.1 inches) long but the Model S is much longer (at 4.97 meters / 195.9 inches) so a real Model S rival would be an all-electric Panamera since the two have roughly the same size. According to the same report, the Pajun will borrow most of the technology from the second generation Panamera and will go on sale in 2018 or 2019.
