I think that anything that gets people to talk about EVs in our future is a good thing, whether or not the actual product is currently vaporware.
The iPod was once vaporware. Whether or not they end up with such an animal, it points the way for people to look at what the future will/can bring. If it's all noise, it's good noise that's likely to get those that are not interested in reading about EVs to hear something they may not normally hear. And Appke is one company that has the credibility and record to deliver on things that people think are not doable.
