It ain't the Millennium Falcon, but hey ... it's baby steps for Harrison
Ford, who was back at the stick -- of a Tesla last week.

It's the first time photogs have spotted Ford out in public since he ditched
a plane on a Santa Monica golf course back in March, heroically missing
nearby homes.

Ford was cruising around L.A. in the luxury electric vehicle with a friend.
The 72-year-old looks to have healed well -- his face was cut and bloodied
following the plane crash, but you can't see a mark on it in the pics.

Don't worry ... he'll hold together.

Harrison Ford has been seen out in public for the first time since being
seriously hurt in a plane crash on March 5.

He was spotted driving his silver Tesla in Los Angeles accompanied by a male
friend in the front passenger seat.

It's a clear sign that the 72-year-old actor is on the mend after he was
forced to crash land his Second World War-era plane on a Venice golf course.

Getting better: It's the first time the 72-year-old actor has been seen in
public since he crash landed his vintage plane on a Venice golf course on
March 5.

It seems that the plane's engine failed shortly after take off from Santa
Monica airport but Ford, an experienced pilot, was able to steer it to a
safe - though hard - landing.

The Han Solo actor spent three weeks in hospital in Los Angeles before
returning to continue his recovery at the home
