It did not stop people from fishing including new resident Ed Robinson who was doing “catch and release fishing” at the pond. Robinson and wife Karen moved to Emmett after retiring from Sacramento, Calif. Long-time good friends drew them to Emmett. Robinson travels to the pond on his electric bicycle he converted to hold a wooden basket for his two chihuahuas pups and his fishing gear. “The electric bike over a car saved me $800 in gas, $200 in insurance, auto tags and California smog license,” he said. Robinson’s bike odometer reads 3,912 miles and is a healthy way to go fishing.
