I have 3 very different EV's I need to find new homes for; old injuries
have have ganged up on my aging Earth suit to the point that I am having to
recognize new limits to my physical abilities. Specifically, a neck injury
in the late '80's which has surfaced as severe chronic pain as it seems
there are an amazing number of nerve connections in that portion of the
spine.
So I have (1) a 4 seater Rhoades Car with 36 volt power, including a solar
charger canopy/roof, (2) a Terra Trike with 24 volt power (which can be
terrfyingly fun in a parking lot gymkhana!), and (3) a near sister to the
Goggomobil I had, (which is still on the Photo Album). This one has never
been registered as I never started the project of getting it assigned an ID
# (like the one I did have registered, it doesn't have a VIN). I think the
process must be easier almost anywhere outside of California. It's 48
volts.
Of the 3, the Terra Trike is the only 1 I have used in recent years enough
to justify keeping it in batteries.
Anyway, I"m going to put them up on the Tradin' Post when I feel well
enough to move things around and take some photos; I just wanted to put
this out 1st to the community which has made it possible for me to build
and drive an amazing number of EV's since 1999. I'm still driving what I
think is my last conversion EV: the Escort EV (also on the Photo Album) my
goal for it in 2011 when I upgraded it to lithium was (is!) to see if I
could spend $10,000 on an EV (+ tires & brakes) & drive it for 10 years
without replacing the pack. So far I have not seen any loss of range, or
degradation in the pack, so the experiment goes on.
I'm beemike03 at G mail if anyone has questions on these.
And, as always, Great Gratitude to all of you who have made this journey
possible for me.
