JEA jump-starts Drive Electric Week Not only will next week’s Cars and Coffee be special for Mazda enthusiasts, but it will also serve as a kickoff for electric and hybrid vehicle aficionados to celebrate National Drive Electric Week. As our day-to-day steamy-hot grind in Jacksonville continues, and our electric bills remain seasonably high, JEA will be in attendance, bringing some extra power in the form of electric vehicles and hybrids to kick off National Drive Electric Week, which runs Sept. 12 through 20. If you drive an electric vehicle or hybrid, we want you to join in on this celebration at Cars and Coffee. The National Drive Electric Week will usher in a nationwide celebration to heighten awareness of today’s widespread availability of plug-in electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles and their many features and benefits. JEA will be part of the jump-start while it powers through a full week to attract the “drive electric” movement. A gathering of more than 90 EV and hybrid cars will be at Whole Foods, 10601 San Jose Blvd., on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. to share the new-age passion.
