I read recently that TOU metering in Uruguay, where 95% of the electricity 
is renewable, charges the highest rate between 5pm and 11pm.  That's their 
peak demand period.  I guess they must not use much air-con.

(By their definition, "renewable" includes biomass.  Many of their 
powerplants burn Eucalyptus wood.)
