Bob,
I had similar experiences with Citicars, found lots of places to park
that were too small for anyone else to fit in, some on the street, some
in parking lots.

I found a spot at the end of a line of parking spots where a THINK will fit
between the last car and a concrete wall… but it is not marked for
parking. I took photos with me in it and sent it up the chain of command
and the local campus Chief of Police approved it. Parking is such a
premium around here, that creating one more parking space for free was
worth it to them.
I even added salt to the wound because I have to back into it and so I
appear backwards to everyone else, another violation. But he approved that
too.
