This unit was designed for the Honda EVPlus. You must disconnect it from the car and plug it back in before it will operate again. It will only run a single charge cycle per connection. It makes no difference how long the charge cycle lasts.
If you are using the charging timer on the Leaf, it will not work. The Leaf runs a test cycle when you plug it in. This counts as the single charge cycle of the MCS100. Disable the Leaf's charging timer. It will work fine. I installed one of these for use with my EVPlus and replaced the connector for use with my Leaf.
