Nissan e-NV200 Combi 2016 review - Carbuyer
Carbuyer Feb 22, 2016
The Nissan e-NV200 Combi is your only choice if you want a people-carrier
with zero emissions. It's an all-electric MPV based on the e-NV200 panel van
and is capable of travelling 106 miles on a single charge, although this is
likely to reduce if it's full of passengers and luggage. It comes with a
choice of five or seven seats, too.

On paper, Nissan’s electric version of the NV200 van is the answer to many
things.

The e-NV200 uses Nissan Leaf’s electric powertrain for zero emissions,
combining them with the immense practicality of its van bodystyle.

Powered by a 107hp electric motor combined with a 24kWh lithium-ion battery
pack, the Nissan e-NV200 delivers a theoretical driving range of 105 miles
which sounds pretty decent for the everyday commute.

Combine this with the inherent roominess of the normal NV200 and what you
have is a unique proposition in the market.

But, as ever with today’s all-electric vehicles, the real-life driving range
is closer to 70 miles, as reported by Carbuyer in their review, which never
really frees the driver from the range-anxiety effect, while most regular
fossil fuel-burning MPVs have the e-NV200 beaten for clever storage
solutions.

Overall, it’s a unique offering in the market right now and if you want a
seven-seater all-electric vehicle in that price bracket, the Nissan e-NV200
is really your only choice.
