I agree with Mike. If you have a lot of weight at the top that you dump out at the bottom, you can certainly generate power letting it run downhill. Every hydro power plant, and pump stroage utility in the world works this way.
However. Some where along the advance of time you might have to lift the 110 - 45 tonnes again, and pay you will when that happens. So the idea of a net generator fails depending on where you draw the box around it and how you account for all the energies moved and entropies developed. Hydro works because there is this enormous solar power source lifting water back to a useful height.
