Hello Jay,
The core charge on those batteries are $20.00 each. I took my old batteries back to the dealer and got $20.00 each for them in credit at his auto parts store. He then gets $20.00 off the next shipment he gets from the distributer. My Nissan cells are now one year and three months old. They are all in perfect balance. My driving is only 1 to 3 miles a day and never get below 90% SOC. I only charge to about 4.00 volts per cell which is about 95% of the max cell voltage. I have 6 cells in parallel and 54 of these parallel cells in series. I am using a 50 amp PFC-50B charger which I start the charge at 42 amps. This is only 42/6 parallel cells groups = 7 amps per 6 strings of cells when the battery voltage is below 80% of the 4.2 V max voltage. A very easy life. When I first turn on the charger, the voltage of 4.0 volts is reach in with 5 seconds! Anytime the maximum voltage of the battery is over 80% of 4.2 volts, the battery charger will auto adjust to a much lower charging rate in the 2 to 3 amp per cell string or about 20 amp total battery ampere. This type of charging takes a lot longer than a single string of the GC2 - 6 volt batteries which is ok. My distances are not long and not in a rush.
