Nissan is a difficult company to work with; Shortly after I purchased my car I discovered the left outside mirror was cracked across...difficult to detect. The local dealer immediately said: "I must have done it." Right away he was set to deny the car was damaged when I bought it...confrontational right now...since I can fix many things myself, I thanked him for his lack of cooperation, canceled all but the work covered under warranty. And, I will only go back if there is no place else.
Additionally, Nissan is shortsighted and sets policy for their EVs as if they were still only selling gassers. Their worst policy mistake is not planning for battery upgrades to their older EVs. That has resulted in a large grouping of about 250,000 Leafs, 2011-2016, with the lowest resale value of any car in the market. No one wants to replace the same range battery in a car that's worth less than the battery. The replacement battery with the same range spec costs about $6-$7,000 installed in a 2011 car that sells for about $6,000. Nissan's policies to date appear to be based more on not selling EVs than trying to sell them. I expect a new game in the lower priced EVs in two days when Tesla announces the Model 3. -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/Returning-my-2012-lease-today-with-some-info-and-suprises-tp4681248p4681252.html Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org Read EVAngel's EV News at http://evdl.org/evln/ Please discuss EV drag racing at NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
