My Quick charge event at an AV 50kW CHAdeMO station from 25% to 84% in my
2016 Kia Soul EV+ took 15.22kWh and about 25 minutes. This means it would
have cost me $5.95+25min*$0.20/min=$10.95 or about $0.72/kWh. If I was not
on the monthly flat rate program it would have cost me only $7.50 for the
charge. Even the high $0.49/kWh charge that the Blink network has this
charge would only have cost me $7.46. I much prefer the monthly flat rate
or the pay only by the kWh. Is there some state law where they can't charge
by the kWh or are they trying to keep people from leaving their car plugged
in for a long time?
