Know what else is important? A competent manufacturer, and one who cares
about something other than making a quick buck and then slipping away before
the lawsuits start.

A UL mark on a product is no guarantee of safety. It's too easy to
counterfeit.

The flaming hoverboard debacle will happen again, and again, and again,
because China is chock-full of these morally-challenged manufacturers, and
the rest of the world has more than its share of similarly dodgy importers /
entrepreneurs.

Every time an EV proves to be hazardous, even when it's a toy, the anti-EV
lobby gets that much more negative PR ammunition.
