HF has both crap and some quite nice stuff. You have to know what you’re 
shopping for.

Their welding stuff seems to be good, much of it from Italy, rather than China.

I have their inverter TIG welder that is amazing; my only gripe was lack of a 
foot pedal, so I wired in one! Unlike so many things these days, they actually 
supplied a schematic, and I could plainly see that the “volume control” was a 
common 5k pot, which is just what the Lincoln-style foot pedals use.

With TIG, you want to start very hot, then back off to your normal welding 
current. I can’t for the life of me figure out how they expected you to do that 
with a panel-mounted pot while both your hands were busy…
