Electric Vehicle (EV) drivers are now able to plug in and charge their cars
while they shop or grab a bite at three of South Florida’s premier retail
destinations.

Simon, a global leader in the retail real estate industry, and EVgo
(ee-vee-go), recently announce the installation of new electric car
fast-charging Freedom Station sites that can recharge shoppers’ vehicles in
30 minutes or less at The Falls, Dadeland Mall and Miami International Mall.

“Simon is committed to providing sustainable amenities for our customers and
the opening of multiple EV charging stations today is a great example of
that,” said Mona Benisi, senior director of sustainability for Simon. “The
locations of our shopping centers across the U.S. mean that Simon is ideally
positioned to contribute to the development of a national infrastructure for
electric vehicle charging stations, and also advances the company’s
sustainability efforts.”

The Falls EV stations are now open in both parking garages, north garage and
east garage. Dadeland Mall’s EV station is open and located near the Dining
Pavilion mall entrance (Food Court), in the north parking area. Miami
International Mall shoppers will find the EV station conveniently located in
the main entrance parking area.

“It is our mission to put the right chargers in the right places,” said Arun
Banskota, president and CEO of EVgo. “EVgo is already the nation’s largest
provider of public DC fast charging, but we are also the fastest growing by
far. These premier properties are incredible additions to our national
network of reliable and accessible DC fast chargers that keep drivers of all
EV’s charging forward.”

The EVgo Freedom Station locations in Miami are the first in South Florida
to have dual standard DC Fast Charging. These state-of-the-art 50kw Fast
Chargers can deliver a nearly full charge in less than 30 minutes to drivers
of both CHAdeMO and DCFast Combo enabled EV’s.

They also are part of the established nationwide EVgo network that is
designed to support both current and future charging technology.

Across the country there are more than 500 EVgo chargers in 32 metro areas
serving the needs of EV drivers no matter what EV they drive. For more
