The engineer released two videos of his concept and while it looks rough, it seems to be doing the job. Tesla has been working on a solution to electric vehicle charging for when the auto industry will be transitioning to self-driving cars. If a robot is driving the vehicle, a robot should also be charging the vehicle. In the meantime, it can also reduce the workload associated with charging, which is already minimal to be honest. Since unveiling the concept almost a year ago, Tesla has yet to elaborate on a timeframe to bring the product to market, but Elon Musk said that the company will likely start by introducing the new charger to Tesla’s own charging stations before it finds its way to owners. It looks like Mital was tired of waiting and built his own concept powered by a Raspberry Pi 3 and it sounds like a cool project. In another video, Deepak shows his ‘Evtron’ wiggling itself out of the charge port and away from the Model S: Mital commented on one of the videos saying that he plans to make his system available so we will follow his progress and see where it ends up.
