Just curious if we can develop a list of EV's that have some kind of access to the HV battery terminals for a DC trickle charge when all one has is DC solar at up to 500 volts DC and no access to the grid.
I know the PRIUS HV battery termnals are easy to get to and easy to trickle charge (and blow up the battery if y ou over do it). I know the THINK-CITY is impossible to get to. All the contactors are inside the sealed battery box which is 700 lbs and is stuck up inside the bottom of the car. Termianls are easy to get to but since the inaccessible contactors are inside the box, you simply cannot get to charge the battery. Hummh... maybe you can fool the BMS and force the contactors to close? Im curious about other production EV's. Im not talking about casual or even hobby charging. I am talking about DESPIRATION charging from a HV series solar DC source when there is no other way to get transportation. How about a LEAF, or a VOLT? ImIev?
