Interesting.  From the pics on your website it appears that you just welded 
up some thick steel pieces.  That's been sturdy enough?

That's also a common problem with the large frame GE Elec-trak garden 
tractors.  They have 4 golf car batteries in back and 2 in front.  For 
normal lawn mowing and such, it's fine.  However, with a heavy snow thrower 
on the front, they really need more rear weight for decent snow traction. 

I hear it's even worse with the front loader.  A heavy enough load can lift 
the rear wheels right off the ground.

GE made a rear-attached weight box and it works pretty well for this.  You 
can fill it with old lead tire balancing weights or at least cinderblocks.

Wheel weights help too.  

I have the weight box on my E15, with derelict lead batteries in it, even 
though I plow snow with the dozer blade and don't use a snow thrower.  

So lead batteries can definitely help your situation, even if you use junk 
ones strictly as dead weight on the rear wheels.
