These Deka 8G31 gels are very good EV batteries, but only if carefully
used. They are sealed, provide good range, and can last a long time --
as long as premium flooded, and much than AGMs.
However, you need to understand that gels are *low* current batteries.
You cannot draw high currents, or charge them to high voltages!
You'd want to turn down your controller so your peak battery current
does not exceed about 100 amps. And, you have to make sure your charger
never ever overcharges them (see manufacturer's recommendations). A
standard flooded or AGM charger will quickly *destroy* them.
