We bend thin (~3/32") sheets of poly-carbonate (Lexan) in a sheet metal brake. (Not acrylic or plexiglass, but Lexan.) Bends pretty much like sheet metal. No heat needed.

Rivet or screw the seams that you cut out and bend (like sheet metal.) Alternatively, you can make separate corners out of sheet metal of aluminum angle stock. Looks super slick.

We use it for everything.
