Tesla’s electric cars already provide more than 250 miles of range on a single charge but it appears that the company will soon be offering even bigger batteries with the Model S and the Model X, making them capable of going as much as 380 miles on a single charge. That, coupled with Tesla’s robust supercharger network should take care of range anxiety for Tesla owners who want to travel long distances in their all-electric car. Regulators in Europe have approved 100D and P100D versions of the both the Tesla Model S and the Model X. Hints to the P100D version were previously discovered in Tesla firmware. The company hasn’t confirmed anything itself at this point in time, but there’s enough evidence now to believe that Tesla will soon announce a 100kWh power pack option for the Model S and Model X. Tesla already provides several battery pack options for these vehicles, those who are looking for more savings can opt for a smaller battery and those who want more range can get the 90D which is good for 294 miles. The 100kWh option could provide an impressive range of up to 380 miles on a single charge. It’s not known at this point in time when Tesla is going to introduce the 100D and P100D versions of the Model S and Model X, and how much it’s going to charge for them.
