I hear you, I currently have a 2011 leaf with ~55 miles range (53 Ah
which is nominally just over 19kWh left) because I sold its new warranty
replacement 2015 pack with Lizard cells to my neighbor and installed it
in their 2011 Leaf, while I installed a used pack into my car.
For 200 miles range, it does not need 200kWh since it is possible to get
about 225Wh/mi in the Leaf in mixed driving, so about 45 kWh of usable
capacity is needed for that range, meaning a pack of at least 52 kWh
with 15% unused capacity.
Still, that is roughly twice the capacity of current Leaf packs, so it
must have a different form factor than current packs as I do not know of
a technology to pack twice the energy in the same volume as the current
Leaf pack.

Thanks for your detailed answer, Cor.  I can't really justify increasing

from 24kwh to 30, so it's unlikely I'll pursue that. 200kwh would make a

substantial difference, though. I could get rid of my other vehicle. 
We'll just have to see what happens over the next couple years, though I

agree, I don't think battery tech has advanced enough to fit it in the 
same space.
