Hi Folks,

I have a 120VAC courtesy charge controller in my Leaf and Spark & noticed that
there's an online service that changes the plug to 240VAC for about $50 so are
the portable charge controllers that come with factory EV's OK to put a 240VAC
plug on and operate at 3.3KW instead of 1.4KW? Obviously the J1772 works at
240/120 into the switching battery charger on the vehicle but was curious if
there was some internal charge control control circuitry that wouldn't tolerate
the higher voltage?

Also what's the best 240VAC wall mount charge controller with a KWH/time
display, GE, Juice Box, Schnieder, Aerovironment etc? I already have a GE but
had to special order a display from the factory in Mebane NC (since I used to
work there) but would rather get another charge controller with the display
already installed.

Have a renewable energy day,

Mark
