Note: One of my engineering newsletters just had an article about automakers *adding* engine noises to normal ICE cars and trucks. Ford, BMW, Porsche, and others have added a loudspeaker to produces computer-generated "vroom-vroom" engine noises to create the deep throaty growl that buyers expect from a vehicle with a big high-performance engine.
