I don't think he has posted any recent updates. I'm fortunate that I live close to him and can just go see things in person, which I do on occasion. He recently lost both his parents who were in their 90s and he's not thrilled with the way things ended up with the show on Netflix, so he is currently keeping a very low profile. I would imagine that once the EV2 hits the road, he will be back to his usual EVangelical ways. He's already investigating a new battery sponsorship which would allow him to upgrade to 600+ mile range.
I saw the same warning when I tried to visit his site, so I sent him a note about it.
