I think it really depends on you. There's no doubt that from a material cost and performance point of view, lithium is the right choice. Where the choice plays is how much time and effort you are willing to put in. Do you have time in your life right now (or are you already overwhelmed with responsibilities)? Do you have shop space? Do you have the know-how to do this yourself?

Another way to look at it is to compare the cost of drop-in lead to having someone else do the lithium retrofit for you. What would the final cost comparison be?

Reading thru the prior comments (which I really appreciate) I am starting to
wonder if I'm getting ahead of the cost curve. Maybe I should carefully
consider if lithium i.e., Leaf packs, is the way to go, at this time?
Another set of floodies is about $3000 and good for four to five years.
Maybe by that time the cost for lithium will be substantially lower.

What is the group thought on this? Pull the trigger ... or wait?
