To the all-knowing great EV List: A while back my Electercel became a 2600lb paperweight. It is now time to try to resurrect it.
Background.Azure AC24LS / DMOC445 with 132 Lithium 2P66S for about 210 to 220 VDC running for a few years with 18k EV Miles. Hot summer day (air cooled), may have over revved motor?(no tach ), lost physical power and coasted to side of road, towed home. Problem: press accelerator motor moves slowly and car will inch forward with very little power. Minimum amps being drawn. Have full voltage to DMOC but have not tested at motor due to location. Have CCshell but it does not show any problems or error code as far as my limited knowledge can tell. Using BMS and Volt meter all seems well with battery pack. My thoughts is the motor was over heated and may have burned. I do have a spare but would like to hear from list serve before running wire from DMOC to new motor. Going to be a PITA to replace but will do if I can be sure that is it and not something in the DMOC. Suggestions? Anything I could look at in the CCShell? Way to test old motor directly without DMOC?
