While the world has been waiting for the Taycan, a tuning company was
working on an electric Porsche of their own.

The car in question is a 1977 911 Coupe. Presented at the 2018 SEMA Show at
the Toyo stand, it is the work of StreetFighter LA and benefits from a Tesla
electric motor.

Installing the zero-emission powertrain was apparently a walk in the park,
as it didn’t require any body or chassis modifications. The electric motor
uses most of the original mounting holes of the car and is said to produce a
very impressive 700 hp (710 PS / 522 kW) at the crank, and 563 hp (571 PS /
420 kW) at the wheels.

Details surrounding the battery pack that provides the electric motor with
the required juice are scarce. We don’t even know anything about the range,
or how quick the car is to 60 mph (96 km/h), but we’ll update this story
once we find out more about the build.

In order to become more visible among the heavily modified cars at SEMA,
this classic 911 Coupe has also received a wide body kit. It was fitted at
StreetFighter LA and adds massive bolt-on fender flares on all four corners,
and contributes to the vehicle’s special stance, alongside the adjustable
suspension and BBS wheels.

The interior of this 911 has been reupholstered and fitted with a roll cage,
but since the seats lack headrests, abusing the right pedal could severely
strain your neck muscles…
