If the cost for the mobile charging equipment is high then providers would probably install it only on vehicles in areas with many EVs in use, which would also be where electricity is not far away. Doubtful that it would be made available where it would be REALLY NEEDED, as out in the mountains where very few EVs would be driving and plug-in spots are sparse, areas it would not be cost effective to service if used only a couple of times a year.

I can imagine a compact unit of a couple of hundred pounds that can easily be added to a AAA type service truck.  Cost of a few thousand $. Since it would likely have infrequent use, it might be sufficient to trickle charge from the vehicle's 12v alternator.

Yes, plenty of problems to be addressed but, IMHO, a promising idea.
