I've used datacenter batteries which can have incredibly small terminals - a bolt head which uses a 10mm stainless nut. I have pulled 2-300 amps almost continuously on my snowpig in deep snow without them even getting warm. Just make sure the wire lug or bus bar are mated well to the terminal, torqued to spec and lock washers as Jay said. Only issue I ever had was I accidentally left a lock washer on before installing the bus bar and and it's tiny area unwillingly became the contact point. Went red hot almost instantly! I use a cheap thermal gun and measure all my terminal and component temps after an install for the first couple runs.
