Tesla YouTuber Bjørn Nyland breaks 24-hour electric car distance record —
2,781km

A few years ago, I was interested in long distant, minimum time, Tesla driving. About 2015, I did about 1600 miles in about 30 hours. That was in an early 85kwh S. Things have since improved. 3s charge at more miles per unit charge time than S/X due, in part, to higher efficiency. Also, we used to rarely see 110 kw at a SuperCharger; those rated for 120kw. And that for not very long. Now, run of the mill SuperChargers regularly get up to 150kw.

It seems the distant past when I bought a tear drop trailer to have a comfortable place to wait out RV park charges because SuperChargers were so rare in many parts of the country. I soon discovered I was not willing to accept the trailer pulling range hit. "Pulling a trailer" range was about 2/3 of that without a trailer.

The first SuperCharger in Texas, San Marcos, opened about 2014 and supplied no more than 90kw. It seemed wonderfully powerful. Now, I turn up my nose at 90kw.
