Hi, We have a used 2013 Leaf I bought for my son to drive to and from college about 50 miles per day and like it a lot for the last 35k miles, paid $9.2k a couple years old at the time with only 1K miles on it. As far as I know it's the ONLY vehicle that a battery capacity or "honesty" gauge to show the expected life/condition of the pack. The Leaf has had years to work out the bugs so is probably the most reliable 2013 on. I like smaller cars so I drive a Spark 2015 when I sold my last conversion EV. I like it better for driving with a short turning radius and perky acceleration. Service will probably be an issue if it burps although I was able to buy shop manuals for it $300. I paid $14k and it had 600 miles on it as a dealer demo in MD., towed back to VA with a tow dolly on my truck. I was looking for a Smart Car EV at the time but found that it only had 1/2 the warranty (50k miles instead of 100k) and you had to tow it up to DC, pay $300-600 to keep the warranty in effect. I asked why it had half the warranty and the salesman said because it's half a car! Sorry wrong answer so I bought a Spark instead. It seems Mercedes tries their best to Unsell the bastard child Smart and push their high profit pricy diseasels. Have a renewable energy day, Mark in Roanoke VA Reevadiy.org
