Bill;

That's possibly ~very~ useful, assuming that I can actually find any Audi 4000's to part out. Makes my heart ache, there used to be loads of them at the wrecking yard I haunted 20 years ago. Still, it's something to work towards.

I have the Suplex Coils Spring Application Guide from 2008-2009. It lists virtually *every* car you'd recognize and many that you wouldn't.

The section on Audi 80 shows that the coil form (end types) for the Audi is AA, which is identical to the Rabbit.

Better, all of the rear springs listed have both Standard and Heavy-duty part numbers. The Rabbit section lists only Standard-duty springs.

The Audi 80 uses the same spring form from 1972 to 1991, so there will be no big jump in spring configuration like there is with the Rabbit/Golf springs.

Overall, there are only five part numbers covering the entire run of the Audi 80, so they appear to have kept a very consistent manufacturing design.

Quattro lists only one Standard-duty rear spring part number in the AA form.

I don't know what the Audi 90 is, but it also lists some of the same springs as the 80.

This gives me a much wider base of parts and vehicles to discover. Thanks!!!
