I think what Lawrence was inferring is farmers will 1st seek functionality
over appearance.
IMO, this is not necessarily true. Some buyers will still want
their vehicle to be accepted by their peers (who like the high school
cliques, think anything different is weird), and will the vehicle be a
good date-mobile (will chicks ride with you in it, etc.).

For me, I would have liked the appearance be changeable, not unlike
a transformer. The trapezoid shape would be good for aerodynamics
when the bed is empty and the cover is pulled down at hwy speeds,
but I would like to slide the sides of the bed down, or up square with
the roof height for loading (lower for loading sheets of plywood, sheet
rock, or bags/sacks of whatever. And up as high as the roof for maximum
carrying space of light, bulky stuff, etc.).

It was posted the Tesla Truck would be a good candidate for v2g use.
If true, the money I would invest for a genset & small powerwall could
be instead applied toward the purchase to the more co$tly 500mi trim.

I wouldn't be doing any e-racing with its 3 e-motors, but I would add
the $7k option for the future auton self-driving feature (especially
good for old duffers like me, that are much more likely to nod-off at
hwy speeds on long trips to EVents).
