I'm still looking for a new home for a converted 1991 Ford Escort wagon. I need it out of here in a couple of months. Hand me $200 cash and make it go away. Save it from being donated to a nonprofit and probably scrapped!
1991 FORD ESCORT wagon, ADC 9" motor, Curtis 1231C controller, 128v, dual Sevcon DC:DC converters, K&W BC-20 charger, Gast vacuum, stock automatic transaxle. It was converted by Green Motorworks in the mid-1990s, a typical DC conversion of the era. It was in my garage when a tree fell on the garage, but was only slightly damaged (see photos linked below). It's rust- free and has never been driven in winter. Under 37,000 miles on the clock. Typical range is around 35 miles as set up, using sixteen 8v golf car batteries. More range is possible if you convert it to lithium.or other advanced chemistry batteries. The controller's good to 144v, or you could downgrade to 96v of lead for less punch and more battery life. There are some relatively minor mechanical problems detailed on the page linked below, but it's fundamentally sound and should be easily restorable. NO BATTERIES. AS-IS. NO WARRANTY. This car will need to be winched onto your trailer or dolly. You will need to pick it up during business hours.
