Other thoughts:

Why is Lawrence replacing his 12V aux battery?
If I remember correctly, he traded in his old gen Leaf
for a newer (2017?) 30kWh Leaf. That would only make his
12V aux batt 3 years old, which should last from 4 to 6
years.

If Lawrence is having 12V battery issues, it may not be
the battery (perhaps the dc-to-dc charging circuit, etc.).
If so, no matter what 12V battery (chemistry), he'll still
have problems.
?So, why do you want to replace your 12V battery, Lawrence?

(I ask evdl members with more li-ion purchasng experience to weigh in here)

Paul had a point: only some li-ion batteries I found have
internal circuitry to handle the voltage & charging
differences between li-ion & PbSO4.

Adapting the battery cable connectons makes me think
targeting motorcycle battery markets is more appropriate.

In researching this, I got less web hits with 15Ah, and more
with on 14Ah 12V searches.

Also, a curious use of lead-acid equivilent Ah ratings (?)
See label on
https://cdn11.bigcommerce.com/s-xnv61jmj9h/images/stencil/1280x1280/attribute_rule_images/18723_source_1581637298.jpg

Does this mean because li-ion as less internal resistance, the
Ah capacity rating for li-ion can be rated differently, but
equal to a lead-acid battery with a higher rating?
(this can cause confusion ...
i.e.: is that featherweight 1Ah battery is equal to a 4Ah
 lead-acid?).

Here are soe of the searches and links I found that might help
Lawrence in his quest:

 Shorai battery was mentioned on

?Who are they?
https://shoraipower.com/about-us
Founded in 2010 in Sunnyvale (in silicn-valley), Calif., Shorai
Inc. has quickly become the world’s principal producer of prismatic
cell, lithium iron phosphate power sports batteries. Shorai is
leading the market’s conversion from traditional lead-acid batteries
to lighter, more efficient and higher performance lithium starter
batteries ...
(so they are not cheap-china batts)
