Hello everyone,

Tesla chargers for the home are pretty reasonable in price. If I had safe
parking around my home (I do not) and shade (it gets super hot here in the
Summer), I would install both a Tesla charger and a regular charger, or
maybe just plenty of 240 volt outlets and travelers could BYOC (bring your
own charger). Yes, today you have to have a few $$ to own a Tesla. Used
Teslas will come down in price. Maybe the charging stations will be one day
usable by more cars with a plan to pay for use. Maybe VolksWagon (the
people car) will pattern a super affordable electric car after the Tesla,
and we'll all benefit. Or, maybe Tesla will have to put security cameras
and a chain link fence around all their stations. To keep this on topic, I
bought a used Fiat 500e, and started to research public charging. There are
very few in my area. I bought the parts to make an adapter from Tesla to
J1997. I read a bunch. Luckily I realized that the Supercharger at the Mall
was high voltage DC, my car takes 120 or 240 AC only. I could have used a
Tesla home charger (AC) to power the adapter. I have not finished the
adapter yet. Also, it may not be ok to use Tesla power at the Mall if you
have not purchased a Tesla. Please delete this post if it is off topic.

Stay safe,
Alan
