I am reusing the buddy pairs. Separating them from a 48v pack 96 cells.40 amps max between pairs. About a 3/4" patch of metal between buddy pairs. 10 gauge wire needed. Was thinking of drilling and using small buss bars as an alternative. Not sure I can get a spot welder in Lawrence Rhodes: Message-ID: <[email protected]> Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8; format=flowed
The cell won't last if you solder them. You can' help overheating the terminals. This ruins the separators. They are designed to be spot welded. You really need to use an inverter welder instead of a capacitance welder. Should be 4000 amps peak (at least 3000 amps).
