Glenn, I was able to find a knock-off curtis programmer on Ebay that connects to a laptop via usb for $50 + shipping. I had to cut off the connector on the end and splice into the serial TX and RX lines in the wiring harness on my Curtis 1238 controller, I don't know if you will have to do the same thing, or if the connector will work for you. Attached is the image that I used wire the programmer into my 1238 wiring harness Link to Ebay Listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-programmer-cable-for-Curtis-controller/154033261266?hash=item23dd190ad2:g:p-AAAOxyaTxTPxdO You will need to download the curtis 1314 programming software in order to use the programmer. I was able to download software online for free, but it was a little hard to find. I can send you the program if you would like. You need a windows machine to run it. Do this at your own risk - If you do not feel comfortable doing it, it might be better just to buy the $600 programmer or rent one from somewhere. Curtis controllers are expensive. Hope this helps Nathan On Thu, Oct 29, 2020 at 1:18 PM <[email protected]> wrote: > Send EV mailing list submissions to > [email protected] > > To subscribe or unsubscribe via the World Wide Web, visit > http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org > or, via email, send a message with subject or body 'help' to > [email protected] > > You can reach the person managing the list at > [email protected] > > When replying, please edit your Subject line so it is more specific > than "Re: Contents of EV digest..." > > > Also, please be careful not to append the entire digest to your reply. > Many mail systems do this by default.
