I haven't been watching Tesla that closely, so this is news to me, and good news at that If Tesla build a supermini hatch for the EU and sell it at around 25k euros, I think they'll pick up a lot of sales, at least in the short term. It'll be formidable competition for Renault Zoe, Peugeot E-208, and VW ID3. It will be interesting to see whether Tesla also tries to chase the emerging low end as represented by the Dacia Spring, which goes on sale in a couple of months. The Spring's unofficial reported base price is 17,770 euros and I wouldn't be surprised to see dealers knock a little off that. It will certainly have its limitations, range for one, but I still think that the low price will win it lots of friends. > When they do, I think it is game over for ICEVs. That would be most welcome! However I don't think it'll be quite that dramatic, at least not here in the US. I do think that ICEVs are on their way out in Europe, but not because Tesla is chasing them out.
