Tesla provides a Trailer ECU when the factory option is ordered.   This
properly provides all the signals, or you can go "old school" and wire in
something, but make sure it's "amplified" unless your trailer is 100% LED.
The Tesla lighting signals CANNOT provide more than an extra amp or so
without faulting if you do an old-school tap.

(you can pick up +12V for the trailer amplifier/repeater from the audio amp
in the passenger-side rear quarter in the trunk).
