So, that gets back to the question of whether it's marketing or market
response. For the same size vehicle, a minivan form is generally more
practical. Take out he rear seats and you'll have 7 or 8 feet of flat
space. Put them in and you can haul 5 people and some gear. While
minivans are still popular, they are far less popular than SUVs or
small-bed trucks.
When it comes to EVs, so far all we have is crossovers and SUVs and,
soon, trucks. No minivans on the horizon as best as I can tell. Is that
being pushed by marketing or is it perceived market ?
(The upcoming tesla truck actually has a good sized bed and a relatively
reasonable price, but the truck is huge - too big for a lot of garages
and city parking.)

Yep, that's a SMALL truck alright.....bed length of "between 48.4 and 52.1 inches". I personally feel that you
need a minimum of a 6' bed (8' with a 24" tailgait down for reasonable "truck" usage....which might be why
they call it a "sport utility vehicle" or "adventure vehicle".
[On the plus side, it has a 2nd row of seats....which is why I had to sell my
S-10...lack of passenger capacity...]
